A series of sculptures by Tijs Rooijakkers
The relation between the body and space are in continuing investigation in Rooijakkers work. Throughout his whole body of work he explores physicality and tension playfully. Scale, size and space where shows his work often engage a symbiotic relationship. These new sculptures ‘Self Image’ delve deeper into this research. Each work has a have golden face that looks at its own body and simultaneously invites the outside world onto itself.
