Esbeek, May 14, 2021, Boompijlen launched on Andreas Schotel Walking route | The Rotterdam artist Andreas Schotel portrayed the industrialization of agriculture. He worked a lot in the village of Esbeek in the period 1924-1984. Nowadays there is a museum to honor his work.
As a tribute, the Boompijl team fired three tree arrows at Esbeek from different angles. One made of wood, one with an iron tip and one made of a new durable rice husk material.
On display from now on, together with the work of @timhoefnagels and @hannesverhoeven_art in the Andreas Schotel Art Route.
A circular walk of more than 3 or 10 km along some of the artist’s workplaces, inspired by his etchings and drawings.
The route consists of a walk along some workplaces of the artist Andreas Schotel. Along the way you will encounter easels with his work. In addition, there are works of art along the route inspired by his etchings and watercolors.
A free walking route is available in the Andreas Schotel museum and/or at café Schuttershof. There is a brochure holder with the walking route next to the door of the museum, so that you can also take a copy outside opening hours.
