23 Jan Kick off Nuhands!

Eindhoven | 16 december 2025 – Nuhands, a new major social art project, started today with a pilot workshop in Meerhoven. Nuhands connects people in the Brainport region by joining hands and creating a big work of art together.

“Yesterday was the day. In the heart of Meerhoven, the very first (pilot) workshop Nuhands. And it was fantastic! We started by briefly discussing what hands mean to everyone, then moved on to sketching on paper while chatting, to quell the “oh no, I can’t do that, I’m just not creative” effect. As they continued to develop their ideas, before they knew it, they were getting to know each other better, and the actual boards came out, resulting in truly beautiful outcomes.

The first 11 hands are now a reality. Or wait, not quite yet! The backs are still blank, and there’s a good chance we’ll work on those with young people from the neighborhood 😉, and they will create new ones as well, and so on.

Chains of hands will emerge, all about connection. And then comes my real work: creating a masterpiece from all those hands. Of course, that artwork needs to be unveiled, and just imagine if all those people are there for it! I can’t wait.“
